Republican in Sweden featured in Norrbotten media

Nordic Republicans’ President Lauren Ell was featured in Swedish media outlet NSD on August 8, 2026 to discuss her efforts to keep her community of Skaulo, Sweden clean from trash taken out of community recycle bins by birds.

Birds taking trash out of community recycle bins and leaving it on the ground has been a growing problem in Norrbotten for years. On windy days the trash can blow into neighboring yards, as well as into the forest and water sources.

Ell decided to start picking up trash regularly with her family to address the problem. She garnered attention by filming a video about her efforts and sharing it to a local Gällivare Facebook group. The video quickly gained support and in no time an NSD reporter contacted her to produce a story and video about the project.
