Board Members

Lauren Ell – President and Founder

Ell is located in the far north of Sweden, and has been living there with her Swedish partner since April 2016. Ell was born and raised in Southern California and has been affiliated with Vasa Order of America and Sons of Norway. She attended Swedish language camp in Minnesota for four summers and lived in Älmhult, Sweden as a Rotary International Youth Exchange Student for ten months during 2006-2007. Ell has been featured in NPR, USA Today, SVT (Sweden), TV4 (Sweden), PJ Media, The World, Swedish Radio and Mamamia (Australia).

Katie H. – Board Member representing Sweden

Katie H. is a native of Grand Rapids, MI and has lived in Sweden since 2013. Prior to moving to Sweden she worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Hultgren (IL-14) where she established and grew the Congressional Friends of Sweden Caucus. She is chair of the Republicans Overseas chapter in Sweden. Katie resides in Stockholm with her husband, two children, and their Norwegian Forest cat.

Liam Babington – Board Member representing Norway

Liam Babington is a Veteran and served in the Army and Air Force Reserves for over 15 years and was medically retired. He now resides in Norway where is focuses on his family and other activities.
